Alaska Career College is a career education school in Anchorage, Alaska.

The school was founded in 1985 and has about 286 students during each term. There is no on-campus housing, but Alaska Career does offer assistance in finding housing in Alaska’s largest city.

One of the college’s admission requirements is an “ability to benefit.” The school has a stated policy of ensuring that students and potential employers can benefit from the training and education at Alaska Career. The ability to benefit is addressed and determined during an interview with an admissions advisor and campus tour.

Alaska Career offers certificates and associate degrees for a variety of fields, including aircraft dispatching (an important field in air transport-dependent Alaska), medical assisting, phlebotomy, insurance coding, massage therapy, and business.

Alaska Career uses iontuition.com to provide personalized loan management services to students. The tools through iontuition™ help guide students through the student loan repayment process with repayment calculator, budgeting, notifications, and more. Today, 227 registered users, both current students and alumni, have access to the iontuition tools: ionManage and ionLearn.
