Confidence in 3 Simple Steps

Confidence can change an individual’s life. Yes, that is a bold statement, but I stand by it because I feel like it has positively impacted me. Here are some things I do to create confidence not only with myself but with my life.

1) Talk to yourself: Yes, I did just say talk to yourself. Some people think talking to themselves is strange but I believe it is a key factor in creating confidence. At least once a day, look in the mirror and ask yourself “what is your ultimate goal in life?” Once you’ve gotten that, imagine yourself accomplishing that goal, being exactly where you want to be. Lastly, keep telling yourself you are going to accomplish your goal. Keep repeating it in your head, throughout moments of weakness or doubt.

2) Believe what you say: After repeating (in your head of course) that you are going to accomplish the goal you set for yourself, begin to believe it. If you are hear something over and over, you will begin to believe it. Use that to believe in yourself.

3) Find your uniqueness: Figure out what makes you a unique person. Think of the one thing that makes you absolutely irreplaceable. Keep reminding yourself of that one thing. By doing this you are making yourself feel special. You’re separating yourself from others in a positive way.
The tips I mention seem quite simple, but they work. Confidence is about believing in yourself and in your abilities. This is an extremely large factor for success. If you believe in yourself and your ability to succeed, you will.

It’s important to train your brain for self-confidence and success. When you do that, you are giving yourself a greater sense of self worth. You are realizing your importance. If you continuously do that, it will become a cycle that ends with you reaching your goals. Believe in yourself, your potential, your uniqueness, and, most importantly, your goals and you will succeed!
